We host three main fundraisers, as well as smaller events throughout the year.
1) FALL PLEDGE DRIVE: Our biggest fundraiser is our Pledge Drive in the fall. Each family is asked to contribute directly to the fund; which establishes our annual budget for the following year. As education budgets get tightened, these funds go toward providing field trip transportation, cultural and social events for the students and community, instructional support materials, student fairs and competitions, teacher and staff professional development, and many other enrichment and school needs.
2) SPRING GALA: The theme for this event can range from a social event for parents and guardians that includes a silent auction, to events for students and family members to purchase art that students have made throughout the school year. The gala is a great way for parents and guardians to mingle with other parents, staff and faculty. This is also the event where you can get the highlight coveted “Teachers Treats”!
3) STUDENT-LED: The “Read-a-Thon” is an example of a fun and engaging student-led fundraiser, where students compete to see which student and classroom spends the most time reading books of their choice (as well as raising needed funds for the school).
MISCELLANEOUS — We raise funds throughout the year with various smaller events and campaigns, such as the Evergreen Holiday sale, restaurant kickbacks, Double-Good popcorn, sale of school spirit wear, Dads Club Basketball game, Box Tops, the outdoor clothes/shoes donations bin (U’SAGAIN) and more.
We thank you for any contribution you make to help CWLA succeed in providing our students with a well rounded education and school experience. Go to the “Ways to Donate” tab to learn more.
